GDP Growth Slows To 7.1% Against 8.2% In Previous Quarter
Economic growth slowed to 7.1 per cent in the July-September period against 8.2 per cent in the June quarter, government data showed on Friday. In the corresponding quarter last year, gross domestic product (GDP) had grown 6.3 per cent. At this rate, the GDP growth was the lowest in three quarters, but still remained ahead of China, thus still retaining India as the world's fastest-growing major economy, reported news agency Press Trust of India. This was below a median estimate in a poll of economists by news agency Reuters who had put the annual GDP growth at 7.4 per cent in the second quarter. GDP at constant (2011-12) prices in the second quarter of 2018-19 is estimated at Rs. 33.98 lakh crore, as against Rs. 31.72 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter last year, according to an official statement.

GDP Growth Slows To 7.1% Against 8.2% In Previous Quarter
Economic growth slowed to 7.1 per cent in the July-September period against 8.2 per cent in the June quarter, government data showed on Friday. In the corresponding quarter last year, gross domestic product (GDP) had grown 6.3 per cent. At this rate, the GDP growth was the lowest in three quarters, but still remained ahead of China, thus still retaining India as the world's fastest-growing major economy, reported news agency Press Trust of India. This was below a median estimate in a poll of economists by news agency Reuters who had put the annual GDP growth at 7.4 per cent in the second quarter. GDP at constant (2011-12) prices in the second quarter of 2018-19 is estimated at Rs. 33.98 lakh crore, as against Rs. 31.72 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter last year, according to an official statement.

सीबीआई चीफ आलोक वर्मा को अपनी फैसले के लिए कुछ और दिनों तक इंतजार करना होगा. सरकार के आदेश के खिलाफ उनकी अर्जी पर कोर्ट ने पांच दिसंबर तक के लिए सुनवाई टाल दी. बता दें कि केंद्र सरकार ने सीबीआई चीफ को अगले आदेश तक छुट्टी पर रहने को कहा गया है.

Today, they plan to walk to the parliament. The police have made special arrangements for the protest with 3,500 personnel called in.

Reservation For Marathas Cleared, 68 Per Cent Quota In Maharashtra Now
Marathas will now get 16 per cent reservation in jobs and education in Maharashtra -- a bill to this effect was passed unanimously today by the state assembly. This 16 per cent reservation is over and above the 50 per cent reservation allowed by the Supreme Court. Currently, 52 per cent seats in Maharashtra are reserved and the Maratha quota will take it to 68 per cent. Earlier this year, the Marathas, a politically influential community that forms 30 per cent of the state's population, were declared a backward community following their long-standing demand.

CBI चीफ को राहत या कसेगा घेरा?
सीबीआई बनाम सीबीआई मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट में गुरुवार को सुनवाई है. आलोक वर्मा फिर से सीबीआई चीफ बहाल किए जाएंगे या फिर छुट्टी पर ही रहेंगे, इसे आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट तय करेगा. सुप्रीम कोर्ट को यह तय करना है कि छुट्टी पर भेजे गए सीबीआई डायरेक्टर आलोक वर्मा वापस ड्यूटी पर लौटेंगे या आगे उन्हें जांच का सामना करना होगा. आलोक वर्मा ने उन्हें छुट्टी पर भेजे जाने के सरकार के फ़ैसले को चुनौती दी है. चीफ़ जस्टिस रंजन गोगोई, जस्टिस संजय किशन कौल और जस्टिस के एम जोसेफ़ की पीठ आलोक वर्मा के सीलबंद लिफ़ाफ़े में दिए जवाब पर विचार कर सकती है.

Prem Ballabh, 53, was being treated for depression at a government hospital for the last 28 days, police officer Anil Mittal said. Mr Ballabh was an Assistant Commissioner of Police and was posted at the Delhi Police headquarters in the busy ITO area in central Delhi.
