More than 40,000 security forces personnel have been deployed for the pilgrimage season. 1.6 lakh people from across the country have registered for the yatra that begins today. मुंबई में आफत की बारिश, कई इलाकों में भरा पानी

मुंबई में रात से ही झमाझम बारिश हो रही है. रात 8 बजे से लेकर सुबह 6 बजे तक मुंबई शहर में 91.22 मिमी बारिश हो चुकी है. मुंबई से सटे पालघर में भी देर रात से ही बारिश हो रही है. बारिश का पानी सड़कों पर भर गया है, जिसके कारण मुंबई की रफ्तार थम सी गई है. कई जगह रेलवे ट्रैक पर पानी भर गया है. जिससे ट्रेनें धीरे चल रही हैं. सुबह-सुबह स्कूल और दफ्तर जाने वालों को परेशानी हो रही है. मुंबई में आज पूरे दिन भारी बारिश के आसार हैं. शुरुआती बारिश ने ही बीएमसी के तमाम दावों की पोल खोलकर रख दी है.

मध्यप्रदेश के धार जिले के बाग थाने के गांव में एक लड़की की पिटाई का वीडियो वायरल हुआ है. पुलिस के मुताबिक पिटाई में उसके परिजन ही शामिल थे. बताया जा रहा है कि पीड़ित आदिवासी है जो गांव के एक दलित युवक से साथ भाग गई थी. उसके परिजनों को ये नागवार गुजरा. उन्होंने उससे कहा कि उसकी शादी भीलाला समाज के युवक के साथ तय की जाएगी लेकिन उसके इंकार करने पर उसके साथ मारपीट की गई. इस मामले में पुलिस ने चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है.

कछुए की एक लुप्त प्रजाति को पहली बार भारत में पिछले हफ्ते देखा गया था. अरुणाचल प्रदेश के सुदूर जंगली इलाके यजाली में एक वन रक्षक ने उस बचाने की कोशिश की. इस कछुए को मनोरिया इम्प्रेसा प्रजाति के कछुए के रूप में पहचाना गया है जो ज्यादातर दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया में पाया जाता है.

देशभर के तकरीबन 81 करोड़ गरीब अब देश के किसी भी कोने से 2 रुपए किलो गेंहू और तीन रुपए किलो चावल ले सकेंगे. जो लोग नौकरी और काम के सिलसिले में एक राज्य से दूसरे राज्य में जाते रहते हैं उनको फायदा पहुंचाने वाली इस योजना की रूपरेखा कृषि मंत्रालय ने तैयार कर ली है. हालांकि इसे लागू 30 जून 2020 से किया जाएगा. केंद्र सरकार वन नेशन वन राशन की योजना शुरू करने जा रही है.

कानून को हाथ में लेने के आरोपी मध्य प्रदेश के इंदौर से बीजेपी विधायक आकाश विजयवर्गीय जेल से रिहा हो गए हैं. उन्हें कल भोपाल की स्पेशल कोर्ट से जमानत मिल गई थी. जेल से निकलने के बाद आकाश ने कहा कि जेल में उनका समय अच्छा बीता. 26 जून को एक जर्जर इमारत तोड़ने गए नगर निगम अधिकारी के साथ मारपीट के चलते उनकी गिरफ्तारी हुई थी. बिना इजाजत प्रदर्शन के मामले में भी उन्हें जमानत मिली है. कोर्ट ने उन्हें 20-20 हजार के मुचलके पर जमानत दी.

Amid Chennai Water Crisis, Work Begins On Desalination Plant 6 Years Late
After a delay of six years, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami led the ground-breaking ceremony for an additional desalination plant at Nemmeli, in the outskirts of Chennai, on Thursday. This comes at the height of the worst drought Chennai has seen in decades.

Late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had first spoken about the desalination plant on the floor of the state assembly in 2013. Once set up, the Rs. 1,259-crore project is expected to provide 150 million litres a day (MLD) of potable water to the city from 2021. The government also plans to begin work on another plant with a capacity of 400 MLD, which will be the second-largest unit of the kind, in the near future.

15 Dead After Pune Apartment Complex Wall Crashes, Many Cars Stuck
Fifteen people have died in Pune after a portion of the wall of a residential building collapsed early this morning after heavy rain. Among the dead four children and a woman.

Dramatic visuals showed several cars stuck in debris in Pune's Kondhwa area. The wall crashed down into a slum next to the apartment complex, taking down the parked cars as the ground caved in. The small houses were built for labourers working at a construction site nearby, the police said.

सतना: बीजेपी नेता ने मुख्य निगम अधिकारी की पिटाई की

मध्य प्रदेश में अभी इंदौर नगर निगम कर्मचारी पर बीजेपी नेता कैलाश विजयवर्गीय के विधायक बेटे का बल्ला मार कांड अभी ठंडा नहीं हुआ कि बीजेपी के एक और नेता रामसुशील पटेल ने एक अधिकारी की पिटाई कर दी. मामला सतना के रामनगर का है, जहां के मुख्य निगम अधिकारी को गंभीर हालत में इलाज के लिये रीवा के अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है. मामले में बीच बचाव करने आधा दर्जन पार्षद भी पिट गए जिनमें तीन महिला पार्षद भी हैं. सीएमओ का कसूर सिर्फ इतना था कि उन्होंने अध्यक्ष के करोड़ों के घोटाले की शिकायत की थी और अध्यक्ष अब लगभग आठ करोड़ के गबन के मामले में जमानत पर हैं.

Amid Chennai Water Crisis, Work Begins On Desalination Plant 6 Years Late

After a delay of six years, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami led the ground-breaking ceremony for an additional desalination plant at Nemmeli, in the outskirts of Chennai, on Thursday. This comes at the height of the worst drought Chennai has seen in decades.

Late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had first spoken about the desalination plant on the floor of the state assembly in 2013. Once set up, the Rs. 1,259-crore project is expected to provide 150 million litres a day (MLD) of potable water to the city from 2021. The government also plans to begin work on another plant with a capacity of 400 MLD, which will be the second-largest unit of the kind, in the near future.

15 Dead After Pune Apartment Complex Wall Crashes, Many Cars Stuck

Fifteen people have died in Pune after a portion of the wall of a residential building collapsed early this morning after heavy rain. Among the dead four children and a woman.

Dramatic visuals showed several cars stuck in debris in Pune's Kondhwa area. The wall crashed down into a slum next to the apartment complex, taking down the parked cars as the ground caved in. The small houses were built for labourers working at a construction site nearby, the police said.

There is just one radiologist at the hospital and he has fractured his hand - meaning all the patients are being forced to go to expensive private hospitals. Ideally, a government hospital at this level should have at least 5 doctors, who can perform ultrasounds. "We had two doctors earlier. One retired last year... We are trying to minimise inconvenience to patients. The doctor who is hurt, hopes to be back soon," says Dr RK Pandey, the Chief Medical Officer of Firozabad. Across the state, glaring gaps in infrastructure, manpower and delivery mechanisms in government hospitals have led to UP placing at the bottom of the country's health rankings again.

यूपी के बुलंदशहर के चांदपुर गांव में छेड़खानी का विरोध करना एक परिवार को महंगा पड़ गया. गांव के ही दबंग आरोपियों ने विरोध करने पर परिवार पर गाड़ी चढ़ा दी... गाड़ी से कुचल कर परिवार की दो महिलाओं की मौक़े पर ही मौत हो गई जबकि 2 लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हैं. इस वारदात के बाद उग्र परिजन और गांववालों ने जमकर हंगामा किया. परिजनों ने शव को सड़क पर रखकर जाम कर दिया. हालांकि पुलिस और अस्पताल प्रशासन इसे दुर्घटना बता रहा है.

पानी से भरे अंडर पास में फंसी स्कूल वैन, डूबने से पहले बचा लिए गए बच्चे

उत्तर प्रदेश के कुशीनगर में रेलवे अंडरपास में भरे पानी में स्कूली बच्चों से भरी एक वैन फंस गई. पानी इतना ज़्यादा था कि बच्चे उसमें डूबने लगे. बच्चों की चीख पुकार सुन कर लोग मौक़े पर पहुंचे और किसी तरह बच्चों को बाहर निकाला. इसके बाद लोगों ने गाड़ी के ड्राइवर को पकड़कर पुलिस को सौंप दिया. शनिवार को जोरदार बारिश के बाद रेलवे के अंडरपास में पानी भर गया था. स्थानीय लोगों ने ड्राइवर को वैन वहां से ले जाने से मना भी किया था लेकिन वो नहीं माना.

RBI Deputy Governor Viral Acharya Quits Months Before Term Ends: Sources
Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Viral Acharya has resigned six months before the scheduled end of his term in office, sources said. He was appointed as one of the four deputy governors at the central bank in December 2016, after Urjit Patel was promoted to be the governor. Mr Acharya's resignation comes at a time the economy is struggling with a five-year low growth in gross domestic product and less than two weeks ahead of the presentation of the full-year Union Budget by the government in Parliament.

चमकी बुखार से बच्चों की मौत का आकड़ा 152 पहुंचा

बिहार में दिमागी बुखार से निपटने का कोई इलाज अब तक समझ नहीं आ रहा है और इससे होने वाली मौतों का सिलसिला जारी है. बिहार के मुजफ्फरपुर से शुरु हुआ दिमागी बुखार राज्य के 21 जिलों में फैल चुका है. अब तक इस बीमारी से 152 बच्चों की मौत हो चुकी है और अकेले मुजफ्फरपुर में 194 बच्चे काल के गाल में समा चुके हैं.

महाराष्ट्र में बढ़ता जा रहा किसान की आत्महत्याओं का आंकड़ा

महाराष्ट्र में किसानों की आत्महत्या का सिलसिला थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है. राज्य सरकार की तरफ से जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक पिछले चार साल में राज्य में 12 हज़ार 21 किसानों ने आत्महत्या की है. यानि हर रोज़ राज्य में आठ किसानों ने आत्महत्या की है. अब सरकार की योजनाओं पर सवाल उठना शुरू हो गया है.
