शाहीन बाग में एहतियातन लगाई गई धारा 144

दिल्ली पुलिस ने दक्षिणपूर्वी दिल्ली के शाहीन बाग इलाके में रविवार को एहतियाती कदम के तौर पर सुरक्षा बलों की भारी तैनाती की गई है. इसके साथ ही वहां धारा 144 लगा दी गई है. बता दें, शाहीन बाग में महिलाएं संशोधित नागरिकता कानून के खिलाफ दो महीने से अधिक समय से प्रदर्शन का नेतृत्व कर रही हैं. पुलिस बल की यह तैनाती तब की गई है जब दक्षिणपंथी समूह हिंदू सेना ने एक मार्च को शाहीन बाग रोड खाली कराने का आह्वान किया. हालांकि शनिवार को पुलिस के हस्तक्षेप के बाद उन्होंने शाहीन बाग में सीएए विरोधी आंदोलन के खिलाफ अपना प्रस्तावित प्रदर्शन वापस ले लिया.

नागरिकता संशोधन कानून को लेकर हिंसा भड़कने के बाद शनिवार को उत्तर पूर्वी दिल्ली में अधिकांश जगहों पर माहौल शांतिपूर्ण है. सूत्रों ने एनडीटीवी को यह जानकारी दी. हालांकि, जिन जगहों पर हिंसा हुई है उनके आसपास के क्षेत्रों में ज्यादा लोगों के एकत्र होने या फिर बड़ी सभा पर अब भी प्रतिबंध है. उत्तर पूर्वी दिल्ली में हुई हिंसा में अब तक 43 लोगों की मौत को चुकी है और सैकड़ों की संख्या में लोग घायल हैं. पुलिस ने कहा कि 500 से ज्यादा लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया है. गृह मंत्रालय ने बताया कि उत्तरी दिल्ली नगर निगम ने सार्वजनिक स्थानों से अधिकांश मलबा हटा दिया है.

उत्तर पूर्वी दिल्ली में कल रात से किसी हिंसक घटना की ख़बर नहीं है लेकिन हालात तनावपूर्ण बने हुए हैं. हिंसा में हेड कॉस्टेबल समेत 18 लोगों की मौत हो गई है. हिंसा में क़रीब 150 लोग घायल हुए हैं जिसमें से 40 से ज्यादा लोग गोली से ज़ख़्मी हुए हैं. उत्तर पूर्वी दिल्ली के जाफ़राबाद, मौजपुर, ब्रह्मपुरी, बाबरपुर, कर्दमपुरी, चांद बाग़, नूरे इलाही, भजनपुरा और गोकलपुरी इलाक़े में हिंसा हुई है. कल भी इनमें से कई जगहों पर लोग सड़कों पर उतरे और पथराव और आग़जनी की.
