"Trust Chowkidar To Keep Your Money Safe": PM Modi At Delhi Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that he is committed to fulfil the responsibilities placed on him by Indian voters who chose to make him the nation's watchman five years ago. "I will not let anybody paw at your money under my guard. It is my responsibility as the chowkidar to make sure that the nation's wealth is safe," PM Modi told an ecstatic crowd of supporters in Delhi's Talkatora Stadium at 5 pm. The event was held as part of the BJP's Main Bhi Chowkidar campaign, 10 days ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

'मैं भी चौकीदार' मुहिम के तहत पीएम ने विपक्ष पर साधा निशाना

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (PM Modi) आज 'मैं भी चौकीदार' (Mai bhi chowkidar) अभियान के तहत वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से पेशेवर, कारोबारियों व चौकीदारों से सीधे बातचीत की. मुहिम के तहत देशभर में 500 अलग-अलग स्थानों पर लोगों से पीएम ने संवाद किया. दिल्ली में यह कार्यक्रम तालकटोरा स्टेडियम में हुआ, जबकि अन्य स्थानों पर पार्टी के कार्यालयों और दूसरे स्थानों से लोगों को जोड़ा गया. कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए पीएम मोदी ने कहा, 'आज देशभर में करीब 500 से अधिक स्थानों पर इसी प्रकार से देश के लिए कुछ कर गुजरने वाले, देश के सम्मान में ही अपना गर्व अनुभव करने वाले लाखों लोगों से तकनीक के माध्यम से मुझे मिलने का सौभाग्य मिला है. 2014 में भाजपा ने मुझे दायित्व दिया उसके बाद मुझे देश के कोने-कोने में जाने की नौबत आयी. तब मैंने देश के लोगों से कहा था कि आप दिल्ली का दायित्व जो मुझे दे रहे हैं उसका मतलब है कि आप एक चौकीदार बैठा रहे हैं. मैंने तब कहा था कि मेरी ये कोशिश रहेगी कि मैं जनता के पैसे पर पंजा नहीं पड़ने दूंगा. एक चौकीदार के रूप में मैं अपनी जिम्मेदारी निभाऊंगा.'

"Will Work To Defeat Rahul Gandhi" In Wayanad, Says CPM's Prakash Karat

Rahul Gandhi's candidature from Kerala's Wayanad seat has seriously offended the state's ruling CPM, which is part of the opposition alliance that's taking on the BJP in the coming national elections. Air Force's MiG-27 Fighter Jet Crashes In Rajasthan, Pilot Ejects Safely

An Indian Air Force MiG-27 fighter jet crashed this morning in southern Rajasthan's Sirohi. The pilot ejected safely. The MiG 27 UPG aircraft, an upgraded variant of the Soviet era fighter, took off from Uttarlai Air Force base in Barmer. The pilot reported an engine problem and ejected at around 11:45 am in Godana near Sheoganj in Sirohi, about 120 km south of Jodhpur. A Court of Inquiry will probe the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports indicate no loss of property or life on ground.
