All 2,100 people have been evacuated from a building in south Delhi's Nizamuddin after nearly a 100 people tested positive for COVID-19. Hundreds of people had been staying at "Markaz Nizamuddin", the Delhi headquarters of the Tablighi Jamaat group. The evacuations started on Monday amid a nationwide search for suspected COVID-19 cases after a large religious gathering at the Nizamuddin building emerged as a coronavirus hotspot with links to seven COVID-19 deaths. The Markaz officials had said there were some 1,000 people on its premises. Lanes near the religious centre have been taped off by officials in protective suits. A police case has been filed against the mosque administration.

निजामुद्दीन मरकज़ में देश-विदेश से पहुंचे थे कुल 1,830 लोग

दिल्ली के हजरत निजामुद्दीन स्थित मरकज में न सिर्फ देश के विभिन्न राज्यों से बल्कि विदेशों से भी एक से 15 मार्च तक तब्लीग-ए-जमात में हिस्सा लेने के लिए पहुंचे थे. देश-विदेश के लोगों को मिलाकर कुल 1830 लोग मरकज में पहुंचे थे. इस अवधि के बाद भी 1,400 लोग यहां रुके हुए थे. कोरोनावायरस के चलते मरकज से अब तक कुल 860 लोगों को निकालकर अलग-अलग अस्पतालों में पहुंचाया जा चुका है. वहीं अभी 300 और लोगों को निकाल कर अस्पताल ले जाया जा रहा है. इन्हीं में से मरकज में शामिल होने वाले छह लोगों की तेलंगाना में कोरोनावायरस से मौत हो गई.

The number of coronavirus cases in the country is about to touch 700, with a big jump of 88, shows data from the health ministry. The total is now 694 -- including 47 foreigners, 42 people who have been cured or discharged and 16 people who died. Two days into the 21-day lockdown, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a Rs1.7 lakh crore package for the people, promising food security and money to buy the essentials. Concerned about their migrant labourers residing in other states, the Chief Ministers of Bengal and Bihar have written to chief ministers of other states, requesting them to extend help. Bihar has announced a Rs 100-crore relief package for migrants. The ban on international flights, announced last week, has been extended to April 14.

कोरोना वायरस लॉकडाउन के बीच RBI ने दी राहत

कोरोना वायरस और उसके आर्थिक प्रभावों से निपटने के लिए सरकार के बाद अब भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने बड़ा कदम उठाया है. आरबीआई ने नीतिगत ब्याज दर यानी रेपो रेट में 0.75 प्रतिशत की कटौती की है. आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि रेपो दर को मौजूदा समय में 5.15 प्रतिशत से घटाकर 4.4 प्रतिशत किया गया है. मौद्रिक नीति समिति (MPC) के 6 सदस्यों में से चार ने इस कदम के पक्ष में वोट किया है. इससे होम लोन समेत अन्य कर्जों की ईएमआई में कमी आने की उम्मीद है.

कंटेनरों में छुपकर जा रहे थे मजदूर, महाराष्ट्र पुलिस ने पकड़ा

महाराष्ट्र पुलिस ने गुरुवार को जरूरी सामान की सप्लाई करने जा रहे दो कंटेनरों को पकड़ा. कंटेनरों की तलाशी में उनके अंदर 300 से ज्यादा प्रवासी मजदूर मिले. यह सभी तेलंगाना होते हुए राजस्थान अपने गांव जा रहे थे. पुलिस ने सभी बेबस मजदूरों को पकड़ तो लिया है लेकिन उनको समझ नहीं आ रहा है कि इन लाचार मजदूरों के साथ क्या किया जाए. पुलिस उनको उनके गंतव्य तक पहुंचाने की कोशिश कर रही है.

कोरोना वायरस की वजह से दुनियाभर में तबाही मची हुई है. अभी तक 170 से ज्यादा देश इसकी चपेट में आ चुके हैं. पूरी दुनिया में वायरस से संक्रमित साढ़े 14 हजार लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है. 3.5 लाख लोग इससे संक्रमित हैं. मौत के सबसे ज्यादा मामले इटली और चीन से सामने आए हैं. इसके बाद स्पेन, ईरान और अमेरिका हैं. रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार, करीब 98 हजार लोग इस बीमारी से ठीक भी हुए हैं.

देश में कोरोना वायरस के अब तक 396 मामले सामने आ चुके हैं. 7 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है. पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने देश को संबोधित करते हुए कहा था कि वह 22 मार्च को शाम पांच बजे अपने घरों की छत और बालकनी पर निकलकर ताली बजाकर या थाली बजाकर उन लोगों के प्रति आभार व्यक्त करें, जो इस बीमारी से पूरी तत्परता से लड़ रहे हैं. बता दें कि पिछले दो दिनों में कोरोना वायरस के 160 मामले सामने आए हैं.

Millions across the country are staying in today to counter the threat from the highly contagious COVID-19, a disease spread by the Novel Coronavirus, which has disrupted economies and killed thousands across the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called for the "janata curfew" or self-imposed quarantine to break the chain of coronavirus infections, which the World Health Organisation (WHO) says spread through person-to-person contact and respiratory droplets. "Let us all be a part of this curfew, which will add tremendous strength to the fight against COVID-19 menace. The steps we take now will help in the times to come," PM Modi tweeted moments before the "Janata curfew" came into effect.
