1 सितंबर यानी आज से वाहन चलाते वक़्त नियमों को तोड़ना को आपकी जेब पर भारी पड़ सकता है क्योंकि आज से मोटर व्हीकल एक्ट 2019 लागू हो गया है. इस एक्ट में जुर्माने में भारी इज़ाफ़ा किया गया है. नए नियम के मुताबिक नाबालिग के गाड़ी चलाने पर 25 हज़ार रु का जुर्माना और गाड़ी का रजिस्ट्रेशन रद्द होगा. बिना हेलमेट के दुपहिया वाहन चलाने पर 500 से 1500 रुपये का जुर्माना. पहले ये 100 से 300 रुपये था. दुपहिया वाहन पर तीन सवारी बैठाने पर जो जुर्माना पहले 100 रुपये था अब वो 500 रुपये हो गया है. प्रदूषण सर्टिफ़िकेट न होने पर पहले 100 रुपये भरने पड़ते थे अब 500 रुपये देने होंगे. बिना ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस के गाड़ी चलाते पाए जाने पर अब 500 की जगह 5000 रु देने होंगे.

असम में आज जारी होगी NRC लिस्ट

असम में नागरिकों की अंतिम सूची आज सुबह 10 बजे ऑनलाइन प्रकाशित कर दी जाएगी. इस लिस्ट के सामने आने के बाद ये साफ हो जाएगा कि पिछले साल लिस्ट के ड्राफ़्ट से बाहर हुए 40 लाख लोगों में से कितने अंतिम लिस्ट में जगह बना पाते हैं. लिस्ट में जिनका नाम होगा वही देश के नागरिक माने जाएंगे और जिनका नाम नहीं होगा वो विदेशी माने जाएंगे. लिस्ट के प्रकाशन से पहले असम पुलिस ने प्रदेश में अफ़वाह फैलाने वालों को रोकने के लिए कमर कस ली है. सुरक्षा के मद्देनज़र राज्य के कई इलाक़ों में धारा 144 भी लगाई गई है. जिन लोगों के नाम अंतिम सूची में नहीं होंगे उनकी सुरक्षा की भी व्यवस्था की गई है. एनआरसी की फाइनल लिस्ट के प्रकाशन से पहले असम के मुख्यमंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल ने लोगों से कहा कि वे घबराएं नहीं राज्य सरकार अपनी नागरिकता साबित करने में उन लोगों को मदद करने के लिए हरसंभव कदम उठाएगी जो वास्तव में भारतीय हैं.

GDP में गिरावट क्या महामंदी की आहट?

देश की आर्थिक वृद्धि दर चालू वित्त वर्ष की पहली तिमाही में धीमी पड़कर 5 प्रतिशत रही. एक साल पहले इसी तिमाही में वृद्धि दर आठ प्रतिशत थी. सरकारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक जीडीपी दर पहली तिमाही में 5.8 फीसदी से घटकर 5 फीसदी पर पहुंच गई. जो 6 साल में इसका सबसे निचला स्‍तर है. आपको बता दें कि अधिकांश संकेतक कमजोर घरेलू मांग और सुस्त निवेश माहौल की ओर इशारा कर रहे थे. ऐसे में पहले से ही भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) की वृद्धि दर चालू वित्त वर्ष की अप्रैल-जून तिमाही में और घटने की आशंका जताई जा रही थी. इंडिया रेटिंग्स एंड रिसर्च (इंड-रा) ने 28 अगस्त को कहा था कि चालू वित्त वर्ष में मंद वृद्धि वाला लगातार तीसरा साल होगा. इसने इसके लिए मुख्य रूप से उपभोग की मांग में कमी, मॉनसून में देरी, विनिर्माण में गिरावट और निर्यात को प्रभावित करने वाले वैश्विक व्यापार में मंदी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया है. इसके अलावा अन्य फर्मों ने भी समान रूप से अर्थव्यवस्था के नकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण को प्रस्तुत किया. मूडीज इन्वेस्टर्स सर्विस ने वित्त वर्ष 2020 में वृद्धि दर 6.4 फीसदी रहने की बात कही है.

Final Assam Citizen List Tomorrow, Tense Wait For Over 41 Lakh

The final Assam citizens' list will be published online at 10 am on Saturday, over a year after the first list that identifies whether a person is an Indian or a foreigner was released. The names of over 41 lakh people don't appear in the Assam NRC. The announcement of the final NRC list is likely to be the biggest development in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second term, after the centre's move to scrap special status from Jammu and Kashmir and divide it into two union territories. "The list would be available online by 10 am and those who do not have internet connections can go to Seva Kendras set up by the state government to check their status," a senior officer in the Home Ministry told NDTV.

पूर्व गृह मंत्री पी चिदंबरम की सीबीआई हिरासत आज खत्म हो रही है. आज दोपहर बाद उन्हें राउज एवेन्यू कोर्ट में पेश किया जाएगा. 26 अगस्त को कोर्ट ने उनकी रिमांड चार दिनों के लिए बढ़ा दी थी. इससे पहले कल INX मीडिया केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने चिदंबरम की ईडी केस में अग्रिम जमानत याचिका पर फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था. तब तक ईडी उन्हें गिरफ़्तार नहीं कर सकेगी. पांच सितंबर तक कोर्ट इस मामले में फैसला सुनाएगा.

Domestic stock markets started Monday's session on a strong note, after the government announced measures to shore up the economy. The S&P BSE Sensex index jumped as much as 393.76 points to touch 37,094.92 in early trade, and the broader NSE Nifty benchmark traded above the 10,900 mark after hitting 11,000.55 in pre-market trade. Gains across banking, financial services and infrastructure shares pushed the markets higher however weakness in IT and metal stocks limited the upside.

Whether former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, arrested on Wednesday in a corruption investigation, will be released will be decided by the Supreme Court today. The court will take up two petitions by Mr Chidambaram, one for protection from arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, and another for similar protection from arrest by the CBI. The second petition has been overtaken by Mr Chidambaram's arrest by the CBI, but his lawyers wanted the petition to be heard as they argue that his rights were violated because the top court refused to take up his petition, after which he was arrested. Mr Chidambaram has also filed a third petition challenging his CBI custody and a non-bailable warrant that led to his arrest.

The seasoned BJP leader died at 12:07 pm on Saturday at Delhi's AIIMS, two weeks after he was admitted following complaints of breathlessness. "It is with profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of Shri Arun Jaitley... Shri Arun Jaitley was admitted in AIIMS, New Delhi on 09/08/2019 and was treated by a multidisciplinary team of senior doctors," said AIIMS in a brief statement.

महाराष्ट्र के भिवंडी में शनिवार को एक चार मंजिला इमारत गिर गई. पुलिस के अनुसार घटना के समय इमारत के अंदर कुछ लोग मौजूद थे, जो इमारत के गिरने के बाद अंदर ही फंसे रहे गए. पुलिस फिलहाल अंदर फंसे लोगों के निकालने में जुटी है. अभी तक मिली जानकारी के अनुसार सात लोगों को बाहर निकाला गया है. जिनमें से दो की मौत हो गई है और पांच हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है. पुलिस के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी के अनुसार इमारत के अंदर 15 लोगों के फंसे होने की आशंका है. राहत और बचाव के काम में कई टीमें काम कर रही हैं.
