दिल्ली-एनसीआर में दिवाली के बाद से प्रदूषण बढ़ गया है. इसकी एक वजह पराली जलाना भी है. लगातार पराली जलाने पर रोक लगाने की कोशिश की जा रही है. बड़ी संख्या में किसानों के ख़िलाफ़ FIR दर्ज भी हुई है. ताज़ा मामले में हरियाणा के 100 किसानों पर पराली जलाने के मामले में FIR दर्ज की गई है. पंजाब और हरियाणा में पराली जलाने से लगातार प्रदूषण बढ़ रहा है.

निर्भया कांड के आरोपियों को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से मिली 'सजा-ए-मौत' कभी भी अमल में लाई जा सकती है. अगर उन्होंने सात दिन के अंदर राष्ट्रपति के यहां दया याचिका दाखिल नहीं की. इस बाबत तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन ने बाकायदा चारों आरोपियों को लिखित में नोटिस थमाकर चेतावनी दे दी है. तिहाड़ जेल के महानिदेशक संदीप गोयल ने कहा, "चार में से तीन आरोपी तिहाड़ जेल में और एक आरोपी मंडोली स्थित जेल नंबर- 14 में बंद है. चारों आरोपियों को ट्रायल कोर्ट से मिली सजा-ए-मौत पर हाईकोर्ट और उसके बाद सुप्रीम कोर्ट में भी मुहर लगाई जा चुकी है."

आज से जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य दो केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों में विभाजित हो जाएगा और दोनों यूनियन टेरिटरी के पहले उपराज्यपाल शपथ ग्रहण करेंगे. जीसी मुर्मू जम्मू-कश्मीर और आरके माथुर लद्दाख के उपराज्यपाल पद की शपथ लेंगे. अब इन दोनों केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों पर सीधे केन्द्र का शासन होगा. पंचायतों को ज़्यादा अधिकार मिलेंगे और सुरक्षा के मोर्चे पर बेहतर तालमेल बैठेने की उम्मीद है.

"Support India In Efforts To End Terror": EU Lawmakers After J&K Visit
The group of 23 European Union MPs who are in Jammu and Kashmir will "fully support India in its efforts for lasting peace and end of terror", one of the visiting leaders said this morning as they addressed select members of the media, which excludes local Kashmiri news outlets. The international delegation had meetings with army officials and were taken on a shikara ride on the Dal Lake on Tuesday as they visited Jammu and Kashmir under heavy security and a shutdown in parts of the state.. This is the first time an international team has been allowed in Jammu and Kashmir since the government ended its special status and split it into two union territories in August. The opposition has questioned how foreign MPs have been allowed in the state when politicians in India have been denied the opportunity.

Kolkata's Eden Garden will host India's first day-night Test when they take on Bangladesh in the second match of the two-Test series, starting November 22, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly told news agency PTI. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday gave their nod of approval to BCCI's proposal for the day-night Test. The BCB announced their decision after holding a meeting with senior players on the feasibility of playing a Test match under lights. Sourav Ganguly made it clear that day-night Tests was a big part of his agenda and had said that captain Virat Kohli is also on board with the idea. "The BCB has confirmed and we are having a pink-ball Test. It's a good development. Test cricket needs this push. Me and my team were bent on it and thanks to Virat (Kohli) also, he agreed," Ganguly told PTI.

First-Ever Day-Night Test In India To Be Played vs Bangladesh In Kolkata
Kolkata's Eden Garden will host India's first day-night Test when they take on Bangladesh in the second match of the two-Test series, starting November 22, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly told news agency PTI. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday gave their nod of approval to BCCI's proposal for the day-night Test. The BCB announced their decision after holding a meeting with senior players on the feasibility of playing a Test match under lights. Sourav Ganguly made it clear that day-night Tests was a big part of his agenda and had said that captain Virat Kohli is also on board with the idea. "The BCB has confirmed and we are having a pink-ball Test. It's a good development. Test cricket needs this push. Me and my team were bent on it and thanks to Virat (Kohli) also, he agreed," Ganguly told PTI.

यूरोपियन यूनियन के 27 सांसदों का जम्मू-कश्मीर दौरा मंगलवार को ही डल झील में सफर के साथ ही खत्म हो गया. शुरू से ही इस दौरे को लेकर सवाल उठाए जा रहे थे. लेकिन अब यह सवालों के घेरे में घिर गया है. 27 में से चार सांसद कश्मीर गए ही नहीं. इन सांसदों की शिकायत थी कि उन्हें हालात समझने की खुली छूट नहीं दी जा रही थी. सवाल ये भी उठ रहा है कि इन सांसदों में ज़्यादातर दक्षिणपंथी रुझान वाले हैं। इस दौरे का इंतज़ाम किसने किया? किसने इसको पैसा दिया? इसके अलावा कश्मीर के कई नेताओं ने शिकायत की, कि उन्हें इस समूह से मिलने नहीं दिया गया. सुरक्षा के बेहद कड़े इंतज़ामों के बीच ईयू सांसद श्रीनगर घूमते रहे. उनकी सैर के बीच इत्तिफाक से वो हिरासत केंद्र भी आए और पीछे छूट गए जहां दर्जनों क़ैद नेताओं के साथ तीन पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री भी बंद हैं. लेकिन सरकार अगर इन्हें दिखाना चाहती थी कि सब कुछ ठीक है लेकिन ज़मीनी हालात इससे मेल नहीं खा रहे थे. स्थानीय नेताओं के मुताबिक आने वाले प्रतिनिधिमंडल के लिए सूनी सड़कें एक इशारा भर थीं.

कश्मीर के कुलगाम के कतारसू में आतंकियों ने मंगलवार रात 8:45 बजे कश्मीर से बाहर के पांच मजदूरों की हत्या कर दी. जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस के मुताबिक आतंकी हमले में एक अन्य मजदूर जख्मी है जिसको अनंतनाग के जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है.आतंकियों ने इस हमले को अंजाम तब दिया जब यूरोपीय सांसदों का एक 27 सदस्यीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल जम्मू-कश्मीर के दौरे पर है. पुलिस के मुताबिक कुलगाम में पांच गैर कश्मीरी मजदूरों के शव बरामद किए जाने के बाद इलाके में तलाशी अभियान छेड़ा गया है. सेना, सीआरपीएफ और पुलिस के अतिरिक्त जवानों को भी इलाके में भेजा गया है.

भाई दूज के मौके पर दिल्ली सरकार ने राजधानी दिल्ली में डीटीसी बसों से सफर करने वाली महिलाओं को एक तोहफा दिया है. आज से दिल्ली में महिलाएं डीटीसी बसों में मुफ्त में सफर कर पाएंगी. सोमवार देर रात दिल्ली सरकार के परिवहन विभाग ने इसको लेकर नोटिफ़िकेशन भी जारी कर दिया है. इस नोटिफिकेशन के बाद मंगलवार सुबह से डीटीसी की बसों में सफर करने वाली महिलाओं को एक विशेष तरह का पास दिया जा रहा है, जिसमें लिखा है कि 'महिला सिंगल यात्रा पास'. दिल्ली सरकार के इस ऐलान के बाद दिल्ली देश का पहला ऐसा शहर बन गया है जहां सरकारी बसों में महिलाएं मुफ्त में यात्रा कर रही हैं. मंगलवार सुबह से ही जो महिलाएं डीटीसी और क्लस्टर की बसों में सफर कर रही हैं उनको गुलाबी रंग का एक टिकट दिया जा रहा है जो की पूरी तरह निशुल्क है.

CRPF काफिले पर आतंकियों ने किया ग्रेनेड अटैक
दीवाली की पूर्व संध्या पर जम्मू-कश्मीर (Jammu Kashmir) के श्रीनगर में आतंकवादियों ने ग्रेनेड हमला किया है. खबर है कि राजधानी श्रीनगर के करन नगर इलाके में शनिवार को केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) के एक दल पर आतंकवादियों के ग्रेनेड हमले में उसके 6 जवान घायल हो गये. पुलिस ने बताया कि सीआरपीएफ का यह दल सुरक्षा चौकी संभाल रहा था, उसी बीच आतंकवादियों ने उस पर ग्रेनेड फेंका. इस हमले में छह जवान घायल हो गये. पुलिस के अनुसार ग्रेनेड तेज आवाज के साथ फटा और इलाके में दहशत फैल गयी. अधिकारियों के अनुसार सुरक्षाबलों ने जवाब में हवा में गोलियां चलायीं. घायल जवानों को हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती कराया गया है और डॉक्टर उनकी हालत पर बारीक नजर रखे हुए हैं.
