'Wish There Were 10, But Happy With 9': Retired judge on new Supreme Court judges
On the nine new Supreme Court Judges, Justice Deepak Gupta (retired), former Supreme Court judge, tells NDTV, "I congratulate Chief Justice of India NV Ramana for appointing nine judges out of the 10 vacancies. I wish there was a tenth Judge but I am happy with nine. Giving representation to women and other castes is very important. It is very important that the judges are equally important defenders of human rights and I have great hope and expectations from the nine ladies and gentlemen."
